The Department of Petroleum Engineering was established with the objective to fulfill the growing demand of well qualified petroleum engineers in the world. Petroleum Engineering offers excellent career opportunities to the graduates. The scope for fresher in public firms is very high in the Organizations such as Reliance Industries Ltd., ONGC, Schlumberger, Shell, Gas Authority of India Ltd, British Gas, OIL, Reliance Petroleum Limited. Geo Enpro Petroleum Ltd, Total Gas, Halliburton Services, Essar Oil, GSPC, Cairn Energy, IOCL, Baker Hughes, Reliance Energy, NIKO Resources, GEOENPRO, MECOM Ltd., etc. and also there is much more scope for these petroleum engineers to get absorbed India, Australia, UK, Malaysia, Indonesia and in many Gulf countries.

The Department has the spectrum of highly motivated faculty who dedicate themselves in imparting technical education to the students. The dept equipped with well established fluid mechanical, heat transfer and petroleum engineering laboratories. The dept faculty trains students in engineering technologists in all areas of petroleum industry and helps them in bringing out the latent talent of the students and updates them to evolve as complete professionals to meet the demand for highly trained people in the field.
