B.E Civil Engineering

BE or Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering is an undergraduate course of four years. The course teaches students about structures such as bridges, monuments, buildings, canals and so on. It imparts knowledge on designing, maintenance and construction of these structures. This Civil Engineering course is taught semester wise divided into eight semesters. It includes subjects like Engineering Physics, Structural Design and Drawing, Foundation Engineering, Environmental Engineering and more. A student with 10+2 from a recognised board with Science stream is eligible for pursuing the course.

Students must pass the 10+2 examination in science, from a recognised board to be admitted to the BE Mechanical Engineering programme.

BE Civil Engineering Eligibility Criteria

In order to take admission to the course, an aspiring candidate must have a 10+2 from a recognised board with Physics,Chemistry and Mathematics. It is essential to have an aggregate of at least 50 per cent marks to be eligible for sitting for the entrance examinations. Some of the important entrance examinations for BE Civil Engineering are JEE Main, JEE Advanced among others. Students with a diploma in Mechanical or Allied Sciences are also eligible to apply for the course.
