Functions of IQAC

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) plays a pivotal role in institutionalizing quality assurance strategies and processes. The key functions include:

  • Development and Application of Quality Benchmarks - Establishing and implementing quality benchmarks for academic and administrative activities.
  • Formulation of Quality Parameters - Defining measurable parameters for evaluating various institutional processes.
  • Promotion of Learner-Centric Environment - Facilitating a conducive teaching-learning ecosystem that emphasizes participatory learning and supports faculty in adopting modern pedagogy and technology.
  • Faculty Development and Academic Enhancement - Encouraging faculty maturation through continuous knowledge upgradation and innovative teaching practices.
  • Feedback Mechanism and Analysis - Systematic collection and analysis of feedback from students, faculty, alumni, employers, and other stakeholders on institutional quality processes.
  • Dissemination of Quality Information - Sharing information related to quality parameters and initiatives with all stakeholders to ensure transparency and awareness.
  • Organization of Quality-Oriented Programmes - Conducting inter- and intra-institutional workshops, seminars, and conferences on quality-related themes and promoting quality circles.
  • Documentation of Quality Initiatives - Maintaining comprehensive records of activities and programmes that contribute to quality enhancement.
  • Coordination of Quality Activities - Acting as a nodal agency for planning, coordinating, and monitoring quality-related initiatives and best practices within the institution.
  • Development and Maintenance of Institutional Database - Establishing and managing a robust Management Information System (MIS) to support data-driven decision-making and quality improvement.
  • Academic and Administrative Audit (AAA) - Periodic conduct of Academic and Administrative Audits and ensuring timely follow-up actions.
  • Preparation of AQAR - Preparing and submitting the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) in accordance with the guidelines and parameters of NAAC.
