Global Institute of Engineering and Technology is committed to maintaining its academic and physical infrastructure in an efficient and sustainable manner to ensure optimum utilization of resources and to minimize depreciation of facilities. A well-defined system is in place for the regular maintenance and upkeep of the campus infrastructure.
Academic Facilities
The laboratories and academic facilities are maintained through a systematic mechanism. Laboratories are cleaned on a daily basis and all equipment undergoes periodic maintenance on daily and weekly schedules. In case of any malfunction or failure, breakdown maintenance is carried out immediately.
Each laboratory maintains a Maintenance Register to record the functioning, repair, and servicing details of equipment. Necessary instruments and equipment are calibrated periodically to ensure accuracy and proper functioning.
An Internal Stock Verification is conducted annually by a committee constituted by the Principal. Based on the committee's observations and recommendations, corrective and preventive actions are taken to ensure proper asset management and infrastructure improvement.
Classroom & ICT
Classrooms are cleaned and maintained regularly to provide a conducive learning environment. ICT facilities such as Interactive Panels, LCD Projectors, and Lecture Capture Boards are maintained by the Centre for Technical Support (CTS) of the institution.
Civil and electrical maintenance, as well as housekeeping services for classrooms and academic buildings, are managed by the Estate Office.
Library Maintenance
The college library is well organized with separate sections for Science, Humanities, Engineering, Management, Reference Books, and Competitive Examination Materials. All books are catalogued and marked with unique accession numbers and arranged systematically in subject-wise racks to ensure easy accessibility and proper management.
Sports Facilities
The Sports Complex is managed under the supervision of the Physical Director, who oversees the maintenance and development of sports infrastructure. Playfields, courts, and tracks are regularly maintained with the support of skilled workers.
- The 200-meter track and fields are watered and rolled weekly
- The Basketball Court is cleaned daily and repainted annually
- The Futsal Court is maintained regularly
- Throwball, Volleyball, and Ball Badminton Courts are watered and marked periodically
All sports equipment and facilities are recorded, maintained, and periodically inspected to ensure their proper functioning.
Transport & Utilities
The Transport Department, headed by a Transport Manager, manages the maintenance of all college vehicles including buses, vans, and cars. Regular servicing and inspection are carried out to ensure safe transportation for students and staff.
Reverse Osmosis (RO) treated drinking water is supplied across campus, and the RO plant is maintained under the supervision of the Estate Officer. The Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) is operated and maintained by a team of trained technicians to ensure proper wastewater management.
Campus & Housekeeping
A dedicated housekeeping team is responsible for maintaining cleanliness across academic blocks, the library, hostels, canteens, and cafeterias. The campus landscaping, including numerous trees and green areas, is regularly maintained to preserve the eco-friendly environment.
Other facilities such as the Canteen, Cafeterias, and Medical Centre are periodically inspected and maintained to ensure hygiene, safety, and uninterrupted service for the campus community.
